Real Wedding: Ambre & Nicolas
On the first Saturday of December I found myself driving north from Paris into the French region of Picardie for a Chateau winter wedding. When leaving the busy twinkle-light streets of Paris the arrival can be rather dramatic. Perched on a hill above the misty valley of leafless trees sits the Dungeon of Vez.
Although only 3pm, the light was dwindling on this overcast day. When entering the chateau ground I was greeted by an ally of flaming torches. I was told the bride was getting ready on the third floor of the dungeon tower. This tower consisted of a spiral stairwell with more than 20 doors leading off a random intervals. My logic told me I should find her behind the third door… but no. I must have been in the stairwell for over 20 minuets and knocked on every door twice before finding her.
